Energy Services
Effective and sustainable energy saving can be very easy. Our diverse range of energy services will help you to do so. We would like to inform you in a personal conversation about your possibilities. We offer you the following energy services:
Implementation of energy audits in accordance with DIN 16247-1
Probably the first measure to detect energy guzzlers is the performance of an energy audit. An energy audit is an inventory of energy consumption in a company. Since 2015, this has been compulsory for all companies based in the EU, which are not small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) according to the definition of the EU Commission.
When carrying out an energy audit, the energy consumptions are measured by internal or external energy auditors, e.g. of machines and lighting. Thereby potential savings can be determined and measures for a more efficient use of energy can be developed. This in turn leads to energy savings and operating cost reduction.
Advantages of an energy audit
- Reduction of energy costs
- Increased energy efficiency
- Saving on CO2
- State support for SMEs
- Tax incentives
Energy audit obligation
Under the “Energiedienstleistungsgesetzes“ (EDLG), since the 5th of December 2016, larger and affiliated companies are required to conduct an energy audit according to the legal standard of DIN EN 16247-1. This must be repeated every four years otherwise fines of up to € 50,000 will be imposed. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can voluntarily carry out an energy audit. There is no obligation to implement the recommended measures. Nevertheless, the recommended measures are not just well-intentioned advice, because they can save you money.

Costs and duration of an energy audit
The costs of an energy audit are depending on the size of the company and the complexity of the processes. They are usually between € 2,000 and € 10,000. With several locations, the costs may be higher due to the increased time required.
The performance of an energy audit is between 2 months to one year. This depends on already existing energy data.
Energy audit - explained step by step
On the basis of the consumption data obtained from the energy audit, the possibility exists to introduce a more complex energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001, thereby continuously and permanently improving the use of energy in the company.
An energy audit does not take place to the same extent as an energy management system and thus cannot achieve the same effect. We recommend the introduction of an energy management system to permanently reduce energy and costs.
We are happy to provide you with further information on energy audits and the implementation. If you are unsure whether you need to conduct an energy audit, we are happy to advise you.

Tax benefits
When carrying out an energy audit according to DIN EN 16247-1, you can apply for tax relief for your energy consumption, e.g. electricity or natural gas. To do so, your company must belong to the manufacturing industry. The basis is the “Spitzenausgleich-Effizienzsystemverordnung“ (SpaEfV) in conjunction with the Electricity Tax Act (StromStG) or the Energy Tax Act (EnergieStG). The remittal, reimbursement or refund of the electricity tax is only granted if the tax burden for energy per calendar year exceeds € 1000.
Further financial but indirect support can be requested under the special compensation scheme “besondere Ausgleichsregelung“(BesAR). For this purpose, certain requirements in terms of amount of electricity, electricity cost and energy efficiency must be met in order to pay lower EEG levies above a certain amount of electricity.

Preparation of energy certificates
An energy certificate is the figurehead for the energy efficiency of a property. It provides important information about the energy consumption and modernization needs of your building.
The certificate is provided with a color scale. This expresses the energy level at which the house can be classified. As a result, you will get an approximate overview of the heating and hot water costs.
The energy certificate is a mandatory document and has a validity of 10 years. You can apply for this for your property from our energy consultants.

Which buildings need which energy certificate?
Whether a demand or a consumption certificate is needed depends on the residential units and the age of the residential building. Office and administrative buildings as well as commercial and shopping centers require an energy certificate for non-residential buildings. In this, the energy requirements for the lighting, ventilation and air conditioning are included.
Verbraucherausweis (consumption certificate)
Bedarfsausweis (demand certificate)
As the name implies, the „Verbrauchsausweis“ (consumption certificate) is based on the building’s energy consumption data. The information in the card is based on the energy consumptions of the past three years. These are e.g. determined by the heating bill.
„Bedarfsausweis“ (demand certificate) is more meaningful in terms of the picture of the energy efficiency of a building. More aspects such as the building fabric and the system technology of the building are taken into account. As a result, the demand certificate is more extensive in its creation.

Get cheap electricity and heat tariffs
You feel that you are paying too much for electricity or heat even though you have taken various measures to save energy in your business? Contact us and ask for a free and non-binding offer for an alternative energy provider. Our electricity and gas rates depend on current market conditions and your energy consumption.
If you are satisfied with our offer, we conclude the contract for you and then take care of the administrative tasks that arise in the event of a supplier change.
Pay only as much as you consume
To ensure that you only pay as much as you used, we check whether your new electricity or heating supplier has billed you correctly and then provide you with feedback.
After the conclusion of the contract, your personal account manager will be available to you at any time in case of queries or problems regarding the delivery of energy.
